How to Disconnect the Cruise Switch on a 2005 Chevrolet
- 1). Open the 2005 Chevrolet's front door. Move the driver's seat as far back as it will go to provide yourself with as much access to the driver's foot well as possible. Climb under the driver side dash, down by the brake and accelerator pedals.
- 2). Shine the flashlight at the area surrounding the brake pedal arm. Locate the cruise switch connector in this area. The connector itself is thin and rectangular in shape, with four wires wrapped in one black wire insulator leading to it.
- 3). Grab the connector firmly with your hand and pull it out of the switch manually to disconnect the switch. Latch the wire to the brake pedal arm with a tie wrap to keep it off the floorboard.
