    • 1). Disconnect the battery ground cable using the appropriate wrench. Lay it aside, but do not let it touch metal. Place the drain pan under the radiator drain plug. Loosen the drain plug and allow the radiator fluid to drain.

    • 2). Loosen the through-bolt on the engine strut (closest to the radiator). Swing the strut toward the engine and away from the radiator. Unplug the cooling fan harness connector and the low coolant level module plug. Loosen the clamps on the upper and lower radiator hoses using a socket or screwdriver. Pull the hoses off.

    • 3). Remove the cooling fan assembly using the appropriate socket and wrenches. Disconnect the transmission cooler lines from the radiator using the appropriate wrenches. Remove the retaining brackets at each end of the radiator using the appropriate socket.

    • 4). Lift the radiator out of the engine compartment.

    • 5). Slide the new radiator into the engine compartment, making sure that the locating pins on the bottom of the radiator slide into the rubber mounts. Connect the transmission cooler lines using the appropriate wrenches.

    • 6). Attach the cooling fans using the appropriate sockets. Plug in the cooling fan harness and the low coolant level module's harness connector. Reinstall the radiator hoses and tighten the clamps. Check the radiator drain plug to ensure that it is tight. Fill the system with the recommended mixture of DEX-COOL and water.
