How to Install an Ignition Distributor
- 1). Align the mounting holes on the distributor with the mounting holes on the engine block. Many distributors sit on the passenger side of the engine, but your vehicle distributor location may vary.
- 2). Thread the mounting bolts and tighten the bolts until you feel resistance on the bolt. There are typically four mounting bolts, although some vehicles use three bolts to secure the distributor to the block.
- 3). Plug the electrical connector into the pinned input on the distributor.
