How to Replace a Pin on a Door in a 2001 Chevy Blazer
- 1). Open the door as far open as it will allow; you'll need the extra room to push the pin out.
- 2). Locate the bad pin in either the top or bottom hinge. (Look for a pin that has become warped or broken.)
- 3). Place a punch on the end of the pin without a head on it. Push the pin out by punching it with a hammer. The pin will eventually work its way out. The top pin needs to be pushed down and the bottom pin needs to be pushed down.
- 4). Slide the new pin into the hole. Push it in with the hammer and punch.
- 5). Repeat to change out any other faulty pins.
