How to Replace a Fan For a 2000 Toyota Tundra
- 1). Detach the negative battery cable. Take out the air conditioning, power steering belts and alternator. This is done by undoing each bolt that holds the fan pulley together. Move the pulley down so you can take off the belts.
- 2). Remove the bolts that hold the pulley, then remove the fan pulley from the engine compartment. Take out the fan.
- 3). Put the new fan into the fan pulley and fasten the fan in place. Make sure the nuts are secure. Put the drive belt on the pulley. Tighten the nuts. Confirm that the nuts are tightened to 16 foot pounds.
- 4). Put in the pulley's remaining belts. Connect the battery cable.
