How to Reset the Warning Lights on a 2005 Mazda RX8
- 1). Open the fuse panel cover under the steering column by pulling down on it with your hands.
- 2). Locate the fuse for the ECU--the engine control unit--in the fuse panel. Use the fuse diagram on the underside of the fuse panel cover.
- 3). Pull the fuse for the ECU using the fuse pullers in the fuse panel.
- 4). Turn the ignition to the "II" or "on" position (the second position in the ignition) and wait two to three minutes.
- 5). Turn off the ignition.
- 6). Reinsert the fuse for the ECU and turn the ignition back on and verify that the warning lights have gone out.
