Aleeza Khan who recently replaced Shriya Jha as the female lead of Rajshri Productions Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga on Sahara One, is on cloud nine. Reason: It was none other than film-maker Sooraj Barjatya, who chose her as the new female protagonist of the show.
I consider myself extremely lucky that I am getting to play such an important character on a Rajshri Productions TV show. What excites me more Soorajis trust in me. While he shortlisted me to play this role, he also guided me in playing the role of Angana to perfection, explains Khan, whos also happy about teaming up with old friend Aamir Ali again.

All they did was to do a look test with me, and I was on board. Since we have worked before, we know each others sensibilities and capabilities.
