    • 1). Turn the AC/heat vents in the radio bezel to the side so that you can slip your finger tips inside the vent tubes. Get a firm grip on the inside of the vent tubes. Do not pry on the trim bezel with a screwdriver, as you can easily scratch or crack it.

    • 2). Pull outward, gently but firmly, until the trim bezel pops free, and then set it aside where it won't get damaged.

    • 3). Insert the Ford radio removal tools into the two round slots on either side of the radio. Push the tools in toward the dashboard until you feel them clip into position. They should travel roughly two inches before seating.

    • 4). Push the center portions of the radio removal tools outward, toward the sides of the F-150 and pull the radio from the dash at the same time. If you do not have the Ford radio tools, you can use a wire coat hanger, but it will prolong this process and make it harder to accomplish. You can purchase the Ford tools from most professional tool vendors.

    • 5). Depress the retaining clips on the wiring connectors at the back of the radio and pull the wiring connectors out of the radio. Pull the antenna plug out by hand as well.
