How to Install Subs in a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee
- 1). Measure the space in which you would like to install your sub box. Measure the sub box to make sure it will fit.
- 2). Attach the speaker wire to the terminal cup in the rear of the sub box, and run the wires to the first speaker. Attach the wires to the back of the first speaker. Run a second set of wires from the first speaker to the second speaker, and attach them to the terminals. Run the wire inside the box. Put the speakers in place, and secure them with screws.
- 3). Glue the Velcro along the longest sides of the bottom of the box using wood glue. Use fabric glue to secure the corresponding strips onto the carpet in the rear of your Jeep Cherokee.
- 4). Run a speaker wire from the amplifier in your Jeep to the position you are planning to mount the speaker. The route will be different depending on the relative locations of the speaker and the amplifier. Hide the wire by using a screwdriver to tease up the edges of the carpet and plastic trim, and hide the wire underneath.
- 5). Connect the speaker wire to the back of the sub box, and put the sub box in place on the Velcro.
