How to Clean Scott Respirators
- 1). Remove the breathing regulator from the Scott respirator. Turn the regulator clockwise 1/4 turn to free the regulator from the respirator.
- 2). Pour Scott Multi-wash onto a clean lint-free cloth.
- 3). Remove dirt on the outside of the regulator with the wet lint-free cloth. Clean the area on the inside of the regulator with the wet cloth. If you find excessive dirt in the regulator opening, contact a Scott authorized representative to have the regulator professionally cleaned.
- 4). Clean the regulator opening. Pump Scott Multi-Wash into the regulator opening six times. Shake the cleaner inside the regulator. Allow the Scott Multi-Wash to remain inside the regulator for 10 minutes.
- 5). Fill a spray bottle with drinking water.
- 6). Spray drinking water into the regulator opening to rinse the Scott Multi-Wash from the regulator. Allow the regulator to dry thoroughly.
- 7). Set the regulator back into the respirator. Turn the regulator counterclockwise to reassemble the respirator.
- 8). Wipe the seals of the respirator with the wet lint-free cloth. Rinse the seals with drinking water. Allow the respirator seals to dry before putting the respirator into use.
