How to Clean Wax on Bruce Floating Floors
- 1). Sweep or vacuum the floor thoroughly to remove dust and debris. Set the vacuum on the hard flooring setting to turn off the beater bar, which can dent the floating floor.
- 2). Starting in one corner, squirt the floor cleaner so that it lightly covers a 4-by-4-foot area. Wait five minutes. Wipe the floor vigorously with a clean cloth to strip the wax.
- 3). Repeat the process until the entire floor is cleaned and wax-free. Stubborn stains may require more than one treatment. Allow the floor to dry thoroughly.
- 4). Apply new wax and buff it with a heavy-duty floor buffer.
