If you want 3D TV in your home, you need High-Speed HDMI cables. Right now there is a lot of confusion about what HDMI cables are compatible with 3D televisions. The question remains, What kind of HDMI Cables are compatible with 3D televisions and 3D video?

Here is the answer:

You need "high-speed" HDMI cables that are rated as 1.3 and have a 10.2 Gbps speed rating or higher. 3D content requires twice as much data to be transferred to your TV to deliver 3D images, thus the need for higher-speed HDMI cables.

Note: Some sources have stated that HDMI cables rated as 1.4 with a 13.8 Gbps speed rating are required to watch full quality 3D content. From our research and experience, 13.8 Gbps HDMI cables are not required, and the lower speed 10.2 Gbps HDMI cables will suffice.

How many cables will you need...

If you have a 3D Pass Thru Home Theater Receiver - you will need ONE High-Speed HDMI cables to connect your TV to the Receiver. You will also need ONE ADDITIONAL HDMI cable to connect each one of your components to the Home Theater Receiver.

If you do not have a Home Theater Receiver - you will need ONE High-Speed HDMI cables for each component that you connect to your 3D-ready TV. Most 3D-ready TV's have 4 HDMI inputs which would allow you to connect 4 components to your TV with HDMI cables. Be sure to check how many HDMI inputs your 3D-ready TV has. You may need to purchase a Home Theater Receiver if you need additional HDMI inputs.

Note: Some 3D-ready components require special HDMI cables. The most notable example is video game consoles. Be sure to check if you will need special HDMI cables for your specific 3D components.
