Graduation is an important and exciting time in any person's life, so you want to set up a display that shows your grad how proud you are of him. Great displays take awhile to create because you need to gather everything together, so plan in advance. Use the school colors and the student's favorite school mementos. - Create a display made of pictures that detail the student's time at school. Use four poster boards and set them up chronologically, using one board for each year of the student's time at school. Ask friends of the student to send you some pictures that can be used on the display. After the party, the student can keep these memories with her no matter where she goes.
- If you have videos from the student's time at school, create a single video that can be played on a loop throughout the party. Or set up a time during the party where everyone can view the video together. You may need to enlist the student's friends for this task. Include videos from events, parties and family functions throughout the years.
- Put together a slide show to play on a computer set up in the party room. This takes up less room than poster boards if you don't have lots of room for the display area. People can stop and relive the fun times they shared with the student. Include pictures from the student's childhood and adolescence as well. He can keep this slide show forever and be reminded of the various experience leading up to this important day.
- For the high-achieving student, create a display from the various awards that have been won over the years. Save a special place to display her diploma after she receives it at the ceremony. Include paraphernalia from the school as well, like a folded sweatshirt, pom-poms and other festive items from the student's alma mater.
- A delicious cupcake display is another festive way to congratulate the graduate. Put different letters on each cupcake to spell out "Congratulations Graduate." You can insert the student's name as well. This puts a spin on the traditional cake that is eaten at graduation parties.
