How to Clean a Rust Stain on a Bathtub
- 1). Scrub the rust with a steel wool pad. Use it on all areas of the tub that have rust stains.
- 2). Combine 2 parts table salt and 1 part lime juice in a small bowl to make a rust-removing paste.
- 3). Use the sponge to apply the paste to the rust. Leave the paste on for two or three hours. The acid in the lime juice will help remove the rust, while salt is an abrasive substance.
- 4). Wet the sponge and wipe away the rust and paste. Turn on the water in the tub and rinse off the paste and rust.
