How to Install PC133 RAM
- 1). Power off your computer and disconnect the power cable from the rear of the machine.
- 2). Open your computer tower by sliding the side panel to the rear and setting it to the side. In some instances, a screwdriver may be needed to loosen some fastens on the rear of the machine.
- 3). Find your current RAM. Remove the old RAM from your machine if you have no available slot. RAM is usually held in place by clips on each end of the stick. Unclip the RAM and gently pull it out. If you can insert new RAM sticks without removing the current RAM, move to Step 4.
- 4). Align the RAM edges with the slots on your motherboard and slide it in. If you have it backwards, the slots will not line up. When you insert it, the RAM will snap into place, and the clips will latch on.
- 5). Close the computer tower and start the machine.
