    If You Know the Password

    • 1). Power on the server. Press the "F1" key when the prompt "Press F1 for Configuration/Setup" appears.

    • 2). Enter the password if you have a password set. The system will take you to the BIOS screen.

    • 3). Scroll down to the System Security setting and press the "Enter" key. Select "power on password" and type in the password.

    If You Forgot the Password

    • 1). Power off the server and disconnect any power cords. Remove the cover from the server by unscrewing the Phillips screws from the back of the unit.

    • 2). Look for a jumper located near the RAM slots labeled "J28."

    • 3). Remove the jumper, then put it back on. This will reset the power on password and allow you to access the BIOS.
