    • Truffle oil adds a rich flavor when drizzled over popcorn or baked potatoes. Truffle oil is very powerful, so only a small amount is necessary. Since most truffle oil comes in a large bottle, pour some into a small bowl or glass. This helps you regulate the amount of truffle oil you add to the dish. When adding truffle oil to popcorn, pour approximately 1/2 tsp. over the top and shake the bowl or bag to mix it in. For baked potatoes, drizzle about 1/4 tsp. over the top, before adding pepper and butter and mixing.

    Truffled Eggs

    • Truffled eggs are a classic dish utilizing truffle oil. Scramble two eggs in a bowl and add 1/2 tsp. of truffle oil. Cook the eggs over medium heat in a pan until fluffy and serve with a light sprinkling of salt. Alternatively, you can add a small amount of truffle oil to your pan before frying an egg, or drizzle it over the top of an egg dish. The key to making perfect truffled eggs is trial and error. Everyone cooks eggs slightly differently, so adjust the amount of oil you use to your cooking style.

    Salad Dressings

    • Add truffle oil into salad dressings to add an elusive richness to any dish. Add the truffle oil to a small amount of salad dressing to start, in a 1:10 ratio. Taste the dressing and try it on your favorite salad. If you like it, make a whole bottle of truffle salad dressing using the same ratio. If the result is undesirable, try adding the oil to a different dressing. Lighter dressings tend to work best with truffle oil.

    • Truffle oil is a versatile ingredient; those who favor its flavor find it appealing in almost any dish, with the exception of meat. Once you are experienced with using the oil in common dishes, try adding it to different foods. Macaroni and cheese, fondue, sandwiches and seafood can all benefit from the addition of truffle oil. Always start with a small amount, taste the result and decide if you want to add more.
