Celebrities Costume Ideas
- Dressing up for a party is a great way to have fun with your friends. Picking a costume can be hard, but there are plenty of weird, unusual and recognizable costume ideas all around our culture--especially among celebrities. They often have unusual styles of dress--and, since fame is part of being a celebrity, your friends will know who you're going as.
- Pop stars are good templates for costumes. They usually have unique dress and hair styles that are fun to imitate. You could go as Michael Jackson, with black pants, a white shirt, a red jacket and one glove. Or you could take on Lady Gaga's mix of futuristic and haute couture. Watch MTV or check out music videos online for more possibilities.
- Movie stars are a fine pool for costume ideas because you can dress as any of their roles (you can also pretend you actually look like them). Stars such as Johnny Depp, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin or Robert De Niro have had long and varied careers that give you plenty of choices for costumes.
- One of the biggest sources of new celebrities (quality not excepted) is reality TV. Shows such as "American Idol," "The Real World," "Survivor," "Biggest Loser," "Joe Millionaire" and others are full of real-life characters who acted out and captured the attention of TV audiences. If their style isn't unique enough, incorporate something they did on the show, such as eating bugs on "Survivor" or pretending to be a millionaire on "Joe Millionaire."
- Lots of people achieve brief celebrity on Internet video websites, and they can lead to costume ideas. Browse blogs or video websites to find something strange and popular, and dress like the people in them. That guy who freaked out about how people were treating Britney Spears or the guy who sang "Chocolate Rain" are good examples.
