Bridemaid's Luncheon Ideas
- Select a location that is convenient for all members of your bridal party to attend. You might choose a relaxing outdoor location such as a public park or the beach. If you prefer, select a restaurant to host your luncheon that is meaningful to you and your bridal party. For example, if there is a local restaurant you dined at frequently during college, take the bridal party to lunch at that location to relive your memories together.
- Decorate the table in a way that ties together your wedding colors and the personal memories of your bridal party members. Select a tablecloth that coordinates with your wedding colors and place a small bouquet of flowers made from the same type that will be used during your wedding. This allows the bridal party to see firsthand what their bouquets will be made of prior to the ceremony. At each woman's place, put a handwritten note in a sealed envelope, stating how appreciative you are of that individual for her help in the wedding.
- Choose food that is light but hearty to have at your luncheon. Serve one special food item for each member of your bridal party. You might select your maid of honor's favorite drink from your favorite trip together or one of your bridesmaid's favorite cookies. Personalizing the food served at your luncheon further shows the women how much you care about your individual relationship with them.
- Present your bridesmaids with a gift during the luncheon. This private time allows you to appropriately take the time to thank each one of your special women for their part in both the planning of and participation in your wedding. Prepare a personalized gift bag for each member of your bridal party and write her name on the front of the bag. Fill it with gifts that are especially significant to that individual. For example, if you have a bridesmaid who loves the beach, you might include a pair of sunglasses. Be creative, but think about each of your friends and what she might like. Doing so demonstrates your effort into the selection of each gift.
