How to Connect a DVD to a Coaxial Cable
- 1). Connect the red, white and yellow RCA plugs on the audio-video cable to the correspondingly colored output jacks on the back of the DVD player.
- 2). Connect the three plugs on the opposite end of the audio-video cable to the correspondingly colored input jacks on the coax modulator.
- 3). Connect one end of the coaxial cable to the RF output terminal on the coax modulator.
- 4). Connect the other end of the coaxial cable to the coaxial input or antenna terminal on the back of the TV or monitor.
- 5). Connect the power supply to the coax modulator, and plug it into a wall outlet.
- 6). Select a channel the modulator will use to send the signal to the TV, using the up and down arrow keys on the front or the switch on the back of the modulator. If your TV isn't cable-ready, this should be a channel between 14 and 83. If you've got a cable-ready set, you can use channel numbers up to 138.
- 7). Turn on the TV or monitor, and set it to the channel that matches the channel on the display of the coax modulator. You should now be able to see and hear the DVD player's output on the TV.
