How to Increase the Range of My Dish With a UHF Remote
- 1). Turn the Dish Network satellite receiver around so that you are able to see the back panel. Partially screw the connector at the bottom of the RF antenna (included with the receiver) onto the RF connection on the receiver's back panel. Align the antenna rod straight up. Further tighten the antenna's connector. Turn the receiver so that the front panel is facing you again.
- 2). Turn the TV on. Press "SAT" on the Dish Network remote control. Press the "Select" button at the center of the remote to take the receiver out of standby.
- 3). Press "Menu" and then "System Info." Hold the remote next to the antenna. Press "SAT" and hold it for one second before releasing it. Turn the receiver around so that the front panel is again facing you.
- 4). Take the remote to another room. Press the "Power" button on the remote to turn the satellite receiver off, even though walls are separating the two from each other.
