    • 1). Cut ½ pound of melt and pour glycerin soap into ½-inch cubes. Place them in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave them on a high setting for three to six minutes, until melted.

If you do not have a microwave oven, melt the soap in a double boiler. Fill the bottom half of the double boiler with water and place it over low heat. Fill the top of the double boiler with the soap. Gently stir the soap with a large spoon until it melts evenly.

    • 2). Saturate a cotton ball with vegetable cooking spray. Rub the inside of your soap molds with the cotton ball. This procedure makes it easier to remove the soap out of the mold after it has set.

    • 3). Add 2 tbsp. sea salt, 2 tbsp. Epsom salt and 1 tsp. each of beeswax and castor oil to the melted soap. You also can add a few drops of cosmetic-grade fragrance oils and a few drops of cosmetic-grade colorants to the melted soap, if desired. Stir the soap with a large spoon until all ingredients are well blended.

    • 4). Pour the soap into the soap molds. Air bubbles in the soap will rise to the top. Spray the top of the soap with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol until all of the bubbles disappear.

    • 5). Let your soap set at room temperature for 15 to 30 minutes.

    • 6). Place the soap molds in a freezer to speed up the setting process. Be very careful moving the molds because the liquid soap is very warm and soft. Hold both sides of a soap mold tightly and away from your face while you move it into the freezer. Let the soap set in the freezer for 30 to 45 minutes.

    • 7). Let the soap mold sit in about 1 inch of warm water in your kitchen sink for 10 to 15 minutes.

    • 8). Remove the soap from the molds.

    • 9). Store the soap in cellophane or plastic bags.
