    • 1). Do a cleansing detox to help rid the bloodstream and liver of toxins; toxins are often reflected in the eyes. The liver is what helps to cleanse and purify the blood of toxins, but an overtoxic liver can cause a buildup of toxins that can affect many parts of the body, including the eyes. A natural liver cleanse can be purchased at most health food stores.

    • 2). Use a juicer to juice 8 oz. of carrots, 4 oz. of celery, 3 oz. of endive, 2 oz. of parsley and 2 oz. of spinach. Drink the juice on a daily basis to help keep the eyes healthy. It is rich in vitamin A.

    • 3). Use eye drops that are made to add moisture to the eyes, not just get the red out, on a daily basis. The eyes can become dry from staring at a computer screen, allergies and dry air, causing them to become irritated and red. Moisturizing eye drops can be purchased at department stores.
