The number of men and especially women doing home based jobs has increased in the past few years. Working women, especially those married and with kids, have quite a hard time acing the family work life balance metrics. They need to wake up early to make breakfast for the kids, drive or commute to work, fetch the kids from school, make dinner, and probably clean the house during some part of the day and look after the kids, etc... Wouldn't it be nice to have to do your motherly and work responsibilities in one place?
Home based jobs just might be the answer to that question. The convenience of doing your job in the comforts of your home is undeniable. You don't need to rush from one place to another just to get things done. You can bake something for your family's dinner or for a baked-goods business you have while you're at your computer desk. You can wait for your kids to get home from school without getting bored because you have something to set your mind on. You can also listen to music or watch TV while doing your tasks. You can also probably do some cleaning while analyzing the tasks you are given.  Multitask is the word. You are relaxed and for most part there are absolutely no deer in headlights. No office etiquettes and rules.  No bosses lurking on your backs.  These factors can improve productivity and time management skills. And milestone by milestone you are on your way to achieving work life balance. Although it might be challenging at first, you'll get the hang of it gradually. You get to save money too because you don't have to pay for childcare when you're at work.
Just don't forget to accept tasks or go for jobs that don't take up "all" your time at home, because if that's the case there is no difference at all, you might as well go for non-home based jobs.
Your goal is to balance your work, self and family time. Doing it from home might be something that would be able to help you achieve that.
