The Power of Positive Thinking
Yes We Can.
What a slogan, what a chant! A genius of marketing, or a heart felt belief? I do not know, but I choose to believe the latter.
These three small words gave birth to both hope and a sense of empowerment not only to the people of America, but to millions worldwide.
It had the effect of opening the door to positive change, suddenly the possibility of overcoming the huge problems facing mankind did not seem quite so hopeless, suddenly change seemed a possibility.
Could it be that this small, but so meaningful phrase will mark the turning point in the evolution of mankind? The point at which mankind pulled back from it`s lemming like rush to self extinction? Only time will tell, but it does feel that there has been a radical shift in public opinion.
Historically moments of threat, or danger have had the effect of uniting both people and nations.
It has brought together people from different walks of life, differing circumstances and opinions together in a common cause.
The great world wars of the 20th century were perfect examples of this.
The threats and dangers that we currently face are not this time related to ideologies, political disagreements, or fanatics hell bent on imposing their views and beliefs on others, no.
The big threat now is against all of mankind, all of humanity and with luck, good leadership and a positive attitude perhaps we can and will unite for the very survival of life on earth as we now know it! Yes we Really can..
