How to Install a Camera Driver onto a PC
- 1). Turn on the computer. Click on "Start," load the "Control Panel" and select "Printers and Other Hardware." Select "Scanners and Cameras" from the list of options and click "Add an Imaging Device," located at the upper left portion of the window.
- 2). Wait for the "Scanner and Camera Installation Wizard" to appear. Use the USB cord to connect the camera to the computer. Make sure that the ends of the cable are properly plugged into the mini USB port of the camera and the USB port of the computer, respectively.
- 3). Select "Automatic Port Detection" from the "Wizard" window and click "Next." Select the manufacturer and model of the camera you want to install from the list of options. If the model of the camera that you want to install is not listed, or if you want to install directly from the installation CD that you have on hand, click on "Have Disk."
- 4). Insert the installation CD into the optical drive of your computer when the wizard prompts you to do so, and then browse the location of the CD. Follow the next steps to complete the installation. Reboot the computer if necessary.
