Connect the S-video cable to your television's output connector. Find the S-video input connection on the computer's video card. If you have an older Radeon card, you need the S-video to RCA adapter, which lets you plug in a television connector to the input connector marked in yellow on the video card. - 2). Connect the monitor's cable to the white DVI connection on the video card. If the monitor uses a VGA connection, connect the monitor to the VGA port. Radeon video cards have both ports, so the connection you use is determined by the monitor you purchase.
- 3). Right-click the desktop, and select "Properties." A configuration window opens for your monitor settings. Click the "Displays Manager" tab at the left of the Radeon properties window.
- 4). Right-click the television label in the detail panel. Click "Extend main to TV," then click "Yes" to confirm your settings.
