    • 1). Click the "Start" orb located on the bottom left of your screen. Then click "Computer".

    • 2). Right-click anywhere within the "Computer" folder but not on any of the drives. Select "Properties" and a window will appear.

    • 3). Click "System Protection" to open another window that contains System Restore settings. Click the "System Protection" tab.

    • 4). Select "Drive C" and then click "Configure".

    • 5). Move the bar over to "1%". This is the minimum amount of disk space with which System Protection can run, and setting it to the lowest setting will greatly reduce the amount of memory that is lost on the PC.

    • 6). Click "Apply" and then "OK" to apply the new settings.

    • 7). Click the "Start" orb and navigate to "Accessories > Run".

    • 8). Type "Cleanmgr" and then "OK". Select "C:\" when asked which disk to clean up and then click "OK".

    • 9). Reboot your computer by going to "Start > Shutdown > Restart" once Cleanmgr has finished running. You have now significantly boosted your PC's space and stopped the computer from losing further memory due to Vista.
