How to Customize Windows Vista Media Center
- 1). Scroll to "Tasks" and click "Settings." Select "TV" or "DVD" from the "Settings" menu. Click "Closed Captioning" or "Subtitles" to open configuration options.
- 2). Select the option you want to use to control how subtitles are displayed. The options are "On," "Off," or "On When Muted." Click "Save" after choosing your option.
- 3). Click "General" from the "Settings" menu and open "Windows Media Center Setup." Click "Set Up Your Speakers." Click "Next" and choose the way your speakers are connected to your computer. Click "Next."
- 4). Select the number of speakers you have connected to your computer. Click "Next." Press the "Test" button to play test sounds in your speakers. Click "I Heard Sound From All Of My Speakers" and press "Next."
- 5). Click "Finish" to complete the configuration of your speakers. Scroll down to "Configure Your TV or Monitor" and click to open the menu. Click "Next" and select "Yes" if you are not already in full-screen mode.
- 6). Choose "Yes, I See The Wizard On My Preferred Display" and click "Next." Select your display type from the list of options and click "Next."
- 7). Pick the option for how your computer is connected to your monitor or display. Press "Next." Specify your display's width or aspect ratio and click "Next." Click to keep your current resolution or specify a new one. Click "Next" and select "Finish The Wizard."
- 8). Restart your Windows Vista Media Center application to apply all of your new settings. The optional Windows Vista Media Center settings are now customized.
