Curly Look

• Pipe cleaners are terrific for creating bouncy curls all around your head. To achieve this look, wash your hair and towel dry it. Comb it out and separate it into small sections. The bigger the sections, the larger the curl will be. Wind each section around one side of a pipe cleaner. The tighter the wind, the tighter the curl will look. When you have finished, bend the pipe cleaner in half in a way that it secures the rolled hair. Allow your hair to air dry. When it is sufficiently dry, unroll the pipe cleaners, and you should have a head full of springy curls.
  
  

Island Look

• Create a Rastafarian look using pipe cleaners instead of beads or string. Gather pipe cleaners in multiple bright colors such as red, purple, green and yellow. Separate a small section of hair, about a centimeter thick, from the front section around your face. Start at the base of the hair and begin wrapping the pipe cleaner tightly around the hair. Use the same color for about an inch, then switch colors for another inch, all the way to the end of the hair. Section other small pieces all around your head and repeat the process. When you are through, you will look like an island princess.
  
  

Other Looks

• Pipe cleaners are useful for creating almost any hairstyle. Your imagination is the limit. Separate clumps of hair and twist them, starting at the scalp. As you twist the hair, wrap it around itself into a circle. Wrap a green pipe cleaner around the hair to secure it. Add tiny flowers, either real or silk, to the pipe cleaners to create a fairy-tale look. Or, tie the pipe cleaners into large bows and secure them to your hair using bobby pins. Create tiny braids all around your head and wrap them at the bottom with different colored pipe cleaners.
