Method 1

• 1). Right-click on the AVG icon located on your system tray. Your system tray is located on the bottom left corner of your computer screen.
  
  
• 2). Select "Update Now." AVG will automatically update itself to the latest version of the program. Note that AVG only updates the parts of the program that need to be updated. Thus, you will not be stuck with two separate versions of the program on your computer.
  
  
• 3). Leave your computer turned on so AVG can finish the update.

• 1). Click on the "Start" button.
  
  
• 2). Click on "Control Panel," "Programs" and then "Programs and Features."
  
  
• 3). Click on "AVG 7.5," and then click "Uninstall."
  
  
• 4). Click on the link below, and then click on "Download AVG Anti-Virus 8.0 Free Edition." Alternatively, you can click on the second link below to download the most recent version of AVG.
