The truth of hope

My name is Lynn. I am a 30 year old woman who has been diagnosed with both Bipolar Type 2 Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder. While it is true that I am not a psychiatrist or a psychologist, I still want to help people.

I would like to offer words of hope and encouragement to anyone who chooses to read this and to anyone who is feeling as if they would like to give up on themselves and their life. I've gone down that road many times myself. I have tried to kill myself several times in my life. I was blessed enough to survive and get the help I truly needed.

Life can hurt. It can be dark and unkind. I won't tell you that life is easy and that problems can be easily solved. In spite of the hardship and challenges, we don't have to give up. We deseve better than that.  Never give up and never stop fighting for yourself. our value is limitless. Your worth is immeasureable. Find your inner-light and allow it to be your guide in the darkness. If you feel overwhelmed, it's more than acceptable to reach out and ask for help. You are precious. You deserve that assistance.

Hope is endless. Hope is never absent, because we have it inside of us. It exists in each breath. Each and every new day provides hope and possibility. Please, don't underestimate the very power of hope. As long as we are still alive, we possess hope. Sometimes, we don't see it, but it's always with us. Hope is just a breath away.

I've done things to myself that I regret, but I learned from them. I grew through the anguish and difficulty I had to face. I am a survivor and a fighter and I believe you can be the same. I am alive for a reason, and so are you. No one is a mistake. We serve a purpose. You mean something.

You mean something to someone. You are loved and will always be loved. Let this love cushion the fall. We all crash sometimes, but we are not alone. There will be someone to confide in. There will be someone close to us. There will be someone to fight for us. Love isn't limited to a certain person or group of people. We all deserve to be loved. Allow love to take your hand and walk you through the night until dayfinally breaks.

I don't mean to preach and I apologize if I come off as doing so. All I want is to tell you that I believe in you and I want better for you than giving up. Like I said, you deserve so much more than that. You are human and there is nothing wrong with that. Be strong. You can do this. It's all up to you.
