How to Make Body Piercing Boards for a Display
- 1). Separate the cork board from its frame, if necessary, using a small, sharp knife. Select a paint color and paint the frame. Set the frame aside to dry.
- 2). Cut out black felt fabric to slightly larger dimensions than the cork board. Stretch the fabric as you place it on the board and keep it as flat as possible. Attach the fabric to the reverse side of the cork using a hot glue gun. Secure the fabric on the back with a stapler in its four corners. Adhere the cork back to the frame using the hot glue gun.
- 3). Attach eye hooks on the side of the frame to hang the display board on the wall. Thread each end of the wire through the eye hooks and twist them to secure the ends. Hang the metal wire on a nail or hook on the wall or place it on a shelf.
- 4). Stick the posts from the ring and stud piercings into to the board in assorted colors and styles. Arrange the studs in ascending order, with the smallest pieces at the top and the larger pieces at the bottom. Repeat the process with acrylic balls, nose rings and lip rings.
- 5). Position the display board under warm, semi-bright lighting. Accentuate your lighting fixtures with glitter or metallic spray paint for a dazzling effect. Place hanging mirrors near the boards so clients can view the piercings on themselves.
