How to Make Sugar Wax
- 1). Pour 2 cups sugar in a microwavable bowl. Place the sugar in a saucepan if you are heating the mixture on the stove instead of in the microwave.
- 2). Add 1/4 cup water and 1/4 cup lemon juice to the sugar. Mix the ingredients with a spoon.
- 3). Heat the ingredients in the microwave for approximately one minute. Remove the bowl and stir the mixture to check the consistency of the sugar wax. If it's runny, set it aside so it can firm up. Aim for a thick, honey-like consistency. If you heat the ingredients on the stove, stir the mixture frequently as it liquefies. Use a food thermometer to check the temperature. Once it reaches 260 degrees Fahrenheit, remove the wax from the stove and set it aside to cool off.
