    Make a Beaded Ring

    • A beaded ring is a versatile accessory for children and adults alike. The more refined and elegant the bead, the more mature the ring will be. Use a needle threaded with clear beading thread and knotted at the end. String on your beads, then fold the string of beads around your finger to make sure that it will fit. Once the string is as long as you need it, make a circle with the string of beads and thread the needle back through the first bead. Wrap the needle around and go back through the first bead a third time. Knot the thread and clip.

    Make a Beaded Bracelet

    • A beaded bracelet is bead project good for gift-giving. It can be personalized with charms, favorite colors and favorite beads for a special person. This bracelet can be as wide as you like. Use a needle threaded with beading thread to string your first row of beads. The length of the row should be the desired width of the finished bracelet. Go back to the top of the bead string and go through the string again. Make another row of beads the same width as the first, then double back through the second row with the needle and thread. Continue until the desired length of the bracelet is reached.

    Make a Flower Bookmark

    • A bookmark is a great, simple project for adults and kids alike. Any bead will work well. The use of wire makes this a sculpting project as well as a beading project. Use a thin craft wire to mold the first petal shape. String the beads onto the wire. Wrap the edges of the wire creating the petal together to seal the petal. Mold the second petal out of the wire and string the beads onto the wire. Wrap the ends of the wire around the ends of the first petal. Continue until the flower is complete. Run one long piece of wire for the step down from the center of the flower and cut the wire. String beads onto the wire and wrap the wire edge on itself to seal. Glue one large bead or crystal in the center of the flower.

    Make a Key Chain

    • A key chain is a great memento or kid's summer project. For this project, pony or other large-holed beads work best. Wrap the edge of a lanyard around a key ring and knot to the ring. Thread the beads on the lanyard. Use charms and other mementos to enrich the design. Knot the end of the thread. You can make many strings of beads off one key ring. You could also use the wire to create beaded shapes.
