How to Decorate & Arrange Furniture in a Room With Short Walls
- 1). Place larger pieces of furniture toward the center of the room. Long couches and large chairs only highlight the short length of your walls. These pieces can be placed away from the walls to help minimize their size in comparison to your walls. Lay carpet in the room or go with a hardwood or tiled approach and avoid area rugs, which can make a room feel smaller when the walls are short.
