Keeping kids safe online is a big problem today.
I am sure, that many of these young teenagers really don't realize, that what they post will someday come back, and maybe haunt them in later years.
Everything on the internet is posted world wide, and once you post it, you can't take it back.
Teenagers today just don't think about the ramifications, when posting anything that can be harmful to themselves, or to others.
I am reading about how teenagers are committing suicide from others posting nasty things about them.
Kids today just don't care about the feelings of others.
It just seems, that many kids today have low self esteem.
My feeling on that is today people are spending to much time texting, playing games, and not building a solid relationships.
Life is all about networking, and building relationships.
Facebook is great in finding new friends all over the world.
Today, I just spoke with a man from London, England, and we met on Facebook.
We chatted then we spoke with Skype for over an hour.
Now we are friends.
When I go back to London, I will look him up.
Posting photographs online is also getting out of hand.
Once you post a photo online anyone can see it, share it, but they can print it out, and put it on a bulletin board.
That can hurt if the photo was supposed to be a private photo.
Words can hurt.
Now, with cell phones, words can be spread to hundreds of people in a matter of seconds.
Cyberbullying is becoming wide spread, and it is hurting a lot of people.
We need to understand, that we can either help others or hurt others.
People have feeling, and there is no reason in to hurt anyone.
We need to realize, that we all have feelings, and once you say something, or text something, that hurts, you can't take back.
In, today's world parents need to take more control of what their kids are doing on the internet.
I believe, a monitoring system is a good system to have.
With a monitoring system you will be able to keep track of your child's activity when they are on the internet, and texting on their cell phones.
Don't underestimate what a monitoring system can do, it just might save your child's life.
Child safety online is our responsibility.
Parents need to protect the young.
They are the future.
You can find internet safety tips right on the internet.
Put your own internet safety guide book together, and share it with your kids.
Just call it Kids Rules For Online Safety, and share it with your family, and friends.
They need to know your stand on the internet in protecting our kids.
