    • 1). Attempt to connect to your network by going to the Settings menu on your iPhone and selecting "Wi-Fi" from the menu. Power the Wi-Fi on by sliding the bar at the top of the screen from Off to On and then look for your particular network name on the list that appears. Click on your network name and enter in the password for it (if you have one) in order to connect.

    • 2). Exit of the menu if your network does not appear and instead select "General" from the Settings menu. From the General menu select "About" to open a list of information about your iPhone. Scroll down to the "Wi-Fi Address" listing toward the bottom of the screen.

    • 3). Open the software for your router on your computer. Go to the section of the program where you typically enter information about your computers. Add your iPhone and enter in its Wi-Fi address when prompted.

    • 4). Go back to the Wi-Fi menu on your phone. Your network should now show up in the list where it did not before. Click the name of your network and enter the password for it in order to connect to it and start using the web.
