How do I Download Cydia on a Computer and Then Sync Applications to an iPod?
- 1). Navigate to the Cydia download site (link provided in Resources). Click the download link on the page and the app downloads directly to the computer system.
- 2). Right-click the file, then choose "Send To," "UnZip" and the zip extraction software loads onto the screen (the file downloads as a zip file and you must extract it in order to access the content). Momentarily the zip extraction software loads onto the screen.
- 3). Select a location to save the file to and click "Extract" to extract the program.
- 4). Open iTunes (if you have already activated the iPod Touch you already have the iTunes software installed on the computer, but if not it is available for free at iTunes.com). Double-click the "Application" tab in the upper left corner of the desktop, then click-and-drag the Cydia app into the open window.
- 5). Plug the USB cable into the USB port on the bottom of the iPod Touch, then insert the other end of the cable into one of the USB ports on the computer system.
- 6). Select the iPod Touch under "My Devices," then select "Sync" from the right corner of the program window and the app is placed into the iPod Touch.
