Just like your skin, your hair will become dry in the sun and your scalp will burn if you do not have any protection on it, so it is very important to keep your hair just as well hydrated.

SPF (sun protection factor) is the factor by which the safe time in the sun can be calculated for individual skin types; for example; anyone who gets sunburned in ten minutes without using sun cream will be able to be in the sun for 150 minutes with a SPF 15 sunscreen product.
The higher the SPF number, the greater the protection skin will have.
Sunscreen formulas in hair products have UVA and UVB filters in them that wrap around coloured hair like a protective skin.
UV rays are then prevented from getting into the hair and it is protected to its innermost core.
Colour molecules consequently remain more securely anchored and the hair's colour intensity is retained for longer.
