How to Rig a Ribbon Pinata
- 1). Turn your pinata upside down. Choose an area on the bottom where you want the candy to pour out through a small trapdoor.
- 2). Use the craft knife to cut the trapdoor. This trapdoor should consist of cut three lines that are each about 4 inches in length. Hold the pinata firmly as you cut through the cardboard or plaster.
- 3). Cut long lengths of ribbon with you scissors. Then cut slits into the bottom of the pinata with your craft knife, one slit per ribbon.
- 4). Thread the ribbons into each slit. Use the clear tape to hold them in place.
- 5). Cut a slit into the trapdoor. Cut and thread another ribbon through this slit. Firmly knot the inside ends of the ribbon so that it holds fast against the slit. Use the clear tape to hold the trapdoor closed.
