Regifting

Definition:

Regifting is the art or process of recycling or passing on a gift that is still new, to someone else. Regifting can save you money and help to keep your gift budget on target, but it also helps to put gifts you have received but have no need of, to better use. It's also a green giving process and when done according to regifting rules, the recipient is much appreciative of having received this gift.

The gift that is being recyled is called a 'regift'. The giver is called a 'regifter' and the person receiving the regift is the 'regiftee'.
