Bridal Shower Candy Games
- Bridal showers bring friends together for fun activities at a joyous time. Bridal shower guests looking to have fun will enjoy bridal shower candy games. At the same time, guests can enjoy talking about and playing with a subject that is well known and receive prizes that are tasty.
- Buy a bag of small candies such as gumdrops or jellybeans. Buy a glass jar with a lid. Put enough of the candy into the jar to fill it. Take the candies back out of the jar and count them. Replace them in the jar. Display the jar where the guests can see it when they come into the bridal shower. Set slips of paper beside the candy jar with a pencil. Tell each guest to write down a guess about how many candies are in the jar and place it in a second jar. At the end of the bridal shower, give the jar of candy as a prize to the person who guessed closest to the number of candies.
- Place an assortment of candies and candy bars on a tray. Cover the tray with a cloth. Raise the cloth for 30 seconds and let all the bridal shower guests look at the candies on the tray. Cover up the tray again. Have everyone list as many of the candies on the tray as they can name. Compare lists to the candies on the tray, and reward the person who has the most candies correctly listed.
- Place an assortment of candy bars on a tray. Give each person at the bridal shower a pencil and a piece of paper. Divide the shower guests into groups. Have each group make up a candy bridal story using the names of candies on the tray. For example, they might have "The groom took '100 Grand' and bought 'Mounds' of presents for his bride. A 'Dove' was released at the wedding." Have each group read their candy bridal story. Bridal Showers Etc. suggests using the same idea, but writing poems instead of stories.
- Make up bridal shower candy match cards. Cut out two pictures of each kind of candy you will use, and glue each picture to the back of a 3-inch by 5-inch card. Mix up the cards, and thumb tack them to a bulletin board in mixed up order. One at a time, have each guest choose two cards. If the cards match, leave the two cards off the board, and give the guest a bar or bag of that kind of candy. If not, put the cards back up and have the guests keep trying until all the cards have been matched up.
- Make up bridal shower candy bingo cards. Write at the top C-A-N-D-Y in place of B-I-N-G-O. Write down as many candy names as you can think of. Write one candy name in each square of a candy bingo card. Choose from the different kinds of candy from your list, and put them in different orders on the remaining cards. Make the center square a free square. Make enough bridal shower candy bingo squares for everyone with a few left over. Write all the names of the candy you used on slips of paper, and put the slips in a bag. Give everyone candies to mark their bingo squares. Pull a slip at a time out of the bag, and call out the candy name. The person who gets the winning combination and yells "CANDY!" gets a candy prize, and everyone playing the bridal shower game gets to keep their marking candies. The Bridal Shower Bingo website gives detailed rules for bridal bingo, which you can modify for use as a candy bingo game.
