Coping With a Relationship Break Up - The Reality!
Especially if the break up is from someone you love unconditionally and who you have spent a significant amount of time with.
The thought of moving forward with your life and getting on with everyday things without your partner or other half can be a very overwhelming thought and prospect.
So, what can you do to help you when coping with a relationship break up? First off, as the title of this article suggests, you need to face up to the reality.
Taking the next step forward can be a big one but many other people worldwide have been in the same situation, so you are not the only one to ever experience that horrible break up feeling.
Unfortunately those horrible feelings that are churning within your stomach and forcing you to become teary at songs on the radio or even conversations with friends and family are not going to disappear overnight.
Time is a great healer but for time to work its magic, it needs more than a few hours.
So what we can do while time is working its healing magic is to follow other routes that many have followed before when coping with a relationship break up! You need to be brave and actually move forward with life almost immediately.
This means getting out and about whenever possible.
Whether this be with the family or out with friends, although your mind is telling you not to do this yet, this is crucial to moving on and coping with the relationship break up.
Being brave is easier said than done but locking yourself away from the world and feeling sorry for yourself is only going to make those feelings become even stronger.
So, don't allow them to creep in and take your mind off things be living your life! If you get asked out to a bar or club with friends, go and do it! Even if you get asked out on a date from someone, if you feel an attraction, do it! You are not being unfaithful to your now ex partner but allowing time to take its part in healing your broken heart.
The added bonus of actually doing these things is also giving your ex partner time and space to think as well.
By showing them that you are trying to move on can also be a trigger to rekindle the love! This is very common especially if you have spent a significant amount of time with each other and there are only 2 things that will fix that broken heart, TIME or MAKING UP!
