How to Use Chia Seeds on Your Skin
- 1). Peel the avocado with a potato peeler. Cut it in half and remove the seed from the center using a spoon. Dispose of the peel and the seed.
- 2). Mash the avocados with a potato masher. Mix 1/3 cup of whole milk in with the avocados to soften them up. Milk is also great for exfoliating and smoothing skin. Blend well (you may use a blender, if necessary). Add one drop of lavender fragrance oil. The smell of lavender is said to have relaxing effects.
- 3). Mix five to six tbsp. of chia seeds in with the whole milk and avocado mixture. Stir until the seeds are evenly distributed through the mixture. Again, you may use a blender, if necessary. Pour the mixture into a jar with a lid.
- 4). While in the shower, grab about a quarter-sized amount and rub it into the palms of your hands. Smooth over your body, including rough areas like elbows, knees and feet. Add more quarter-sized amounts as needed. You may also add the mixture to a loofah for extra exfoliation on extremely rough spots.
- 5). Allow the mixture to sit on the skin for one minute. Rinse well with cool water. Repeat three times a week for soft, healthy skin.
