Romantic Wedding Layout Ideas for a Scrapbook
- Weddings at all times of the year are romantic. What makes it romantic is the weather and the atmosphere the weather creates. If the wedding occurs in summer, collect flowers from the venue, photographs of guest's hats or a newspaper cut out of the weather forecast. These items, attached to a scrapbook and surrounded by photographs of the big day, would make the look really romantic. If the wedding is at other times of the year, really think about the seasons and what made the day naturally romantic -- for example, in winter, photographs of snow or in autumn, collect red autumn leaves.
- Pink is commonly associated with romance, therefore, teamed with wedding photographs, the color will make a romantic looking scrapbook. If you want pink, go for an all pink theme, i.e. pink pages, pink additions and pink writing to document photographs. Alternatively, if you want something subtler, use one, two or three cutout hearts as a theme running throughout the book.
- Red is undoubtedly a very common association with love and romance. Using red throughout a scrapbook will make it look sensual, charming and full of love. Use red tissue papers, red pages and a deep red pen for caption writing. In addition, dry out or press red rose petals and stick them in. Lots of shops also sell red love-heart stationery, including stickers, sequins and stamps.
- Rather than go with the sometimes-obvious choices of pink or red, make a personal scrapbook that will be uniquely romantic. Buy handmade paper to decorate. Most stationary stores sell handmade paper, some with dried flowers inside. Include very personal items from the day including: wedding invites, wedding place settings and newspaper cutouts for the day. Use items such as ribbon, lace, sequins or pearls, or any theme you personally like and that feels romantic.
