How to Make Fabric Ringlets
- 1). Cut the fabric into strips approximately ½ inch wide and 2 feet long using scissors. You can vary the length depending on your project.
- 2). Attach your fabric with a clothes pin to the end of a wooden dowel that's at least 1 foot long. Base the circumference of the dowel on the desired ringlet size. Use thicker dowels for wider curls or thinner ones for tighter curls.
- 3). Bind the fabric around the length of the dowel, wrapping it tightly as you go. Secure it in place with a clothes pin once you reach the end of the fabric.
- 4). Fill a spray bottle with water and cover the entire surface area of the fabric, along with the clothes pins and any exposed part of the dowel.
- 5). Cover a cookie sheet with foil and place the fabric covered dowel on top.
- 6). Heat your oven to 200 degrees and place the cookie sheet inside. Leave the oven on for 10 minutes before shutting off. Check the fabric to see if its dry. Once the fabric dries completely, remove it from the oven.
- 7). Remove the clothes pins from both ends of the dowel and gently slide the fabric off to see your completed ringlets.
