How to Make a Dirt Cake
- 1
Leave in the cream!
Crumble Oreo cookies in small batches in a food processor and set aside. Clean the food processor for step two! - 2
By hand or by mixer... the kids love to help!
Cream the butter, powdered sugar, and cream cheese together in the food processor. You can do this by hand (like the picture) but it takes longer and you have to be sure the ingredients are mixed well! - 3
Choose a large bowl to mix the "wet" ingredients together!
Mix pudding mix with milk in a bowl or food processor. Stir the pudding together with the Cool Whip. Next, add the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar mix to the pudding and Cool Whip mix. Stir together until completely blended. - 4
Try a plastic pot for kids parties!
Wash and dry a NEW and UNUSED terra cotta pot. Line the pot with foil. - 5
Crumbles go last!
Place a layer of pudding mix in the pot and top with a layer of Oreo crumbles. Repeat layers until the pot is full being sure to top off with a generous layer of Oreo crumbles. Chill until ready to serve. - 6
Great for kids parties and adults as well!
Decorate the top of your Dirt Cake with gummi worms or plastic flowers. Try both for added fun! Serve with a clean and unused small garden shovel to dish out the dessert!
