Information About Wigs
- There are a few major classes of wigs. Costume quality are the most affordable, but also of the cheapest quality, streetwear quality is made for everyday use, and lace wigs are the highest standard and most natural in appearance.
- The cap of a wig is the part that secures the wig to your head. Wefted and horizontal caps are common, while skin top caps, which should match the wearer's skin tone, are necessary for parted hairstyles.
- Wigs can be made out of synthetic fibers, which can be made to look very natural if taken care of, or they can be made from human hair. European hair is the most prized for its strength and texture.
- Clean your wig every 6-15 uses, depending on the weather and the situations you found yourself in (smokey rooms, etc.). Wigs should be combed first and then washed with wig shampoo.
- Wigs come in different sizes and should be matched to a person's head size before buying. They typically come in petite, average, large, and custom sizes.
