Motorola S9 Headset Troubleshooting
- 1). Move closer to the phone or music player if the connection drops. The Motorola S9 headset has an effective range of 30 feet. Press the "Play" button on the S9, or fast forward to the next song with the fast-forward button to try to get the music to start again if you went out of range and have returned.
- 2). Restart the music player or phone if you are playing music from your phone and the music doesn't resume when you move back into range. Many times if you move out of range and the music drops, you can move closer and the music will start again, but sometimes it won't. A restart by pressing and holding the S9's power button also can correct this.
- 3). Verify that the phone or music player is set to stream music using Bluetooth. Check the settings on the device. On a phone there's usually a "Wireless and Connections" menu option. It may be labeled something similar. Check that Bluetooth is switched on, and switch it on if it's off. Check that the headset is paired and connected. Look for the Motorola S9 in the devices list on the phone and make sure it's labeled "Paired and Connected" or similar, not "Paired but not Connected," or similar. Sometimes you need to tap on this menu item to connect.
- 4). Move to a different location in the vicinity if audio is choppy. It's likely caused by interference.
